May 9, 2024 – General Zhang Zhen, the Consul General of China, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Albee Benitez together with Councilors Em Ang, Simple Distrito, Jason Villarosa and Cindy Rojas at the City Mayors Office today.

During the meeting, Consul General Zhang Zhen expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Mayor Benitez and conveyed China’s commitment to enhancing relations at the grassroots level.

Discussions during the meeting encompassed various areas of mutual interest, including tourism, and cultural exchanges.

As the meeting concluded, both General Zhang Zhen and Mayor Albee Benitez expressed optimism about the prospects for further collaboration and pledged to work closely to deepen the friendship and partnership between China and Bacolod City.
