May 10, 2024 – In preparation for the Charter Day Celebration this coming June, the Office of Councilor Celia Flor led a meeting focused on the Be the Change award to prepare for the opening and accepting of nominations from the public today at the SP Session Hall, Bacolod City Government Center.
Councilor Celia Flor was joined by LEDIPO Head Dr. Mae Llamas, Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, P.I.O. Head Carmela Gamboa, and a representative from the City Human Resource Office, Jo Anna Buyco.
Established in 2023 under City Ordinance No. 1042, also known as the “Be the Change Ordinance”, the Be the Change Program recognizes Bacolodnons who uphold and display good citizenship. This initiative serves the noble purpose of recognizing the good deeds of Bacolod citizens, setting an example for others. The call for nominations will be released this May, with the top 5 chosen nominees being interviewed by the committee. Stay tuned for further updates.
