September 12, 2022-682 city residents already received their livelihood assistance grant at Bacolod City College (BCC) Activity Center.

Yara sa paghatag kanday Mayor Albee Benitez, Committee Chairman on Livelihood, Councillor Jude Thaddeus “Thaddy” Sayson, Councillor Jason Villarosa, kag Head of the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD), Ms. Pacita Tero.

Led by Ms. Geljane Premacio, Sustainable Livelihood Program Representative and Project Development Officer together with other DSWD staff attended the meeting.

This grant was also included in the Bayanihan 2 Rehabilitation Program where families who were affected will be given a living during the pandemic to be used as capital for their business plans.

There is a monitoring team that will go around every barangay to see if they have used the money they have. They collect receipts from expenditure allocated to liquidate their expenses and ensure the money goes back to their business.

Attended the payout and staff sales in the office of Senator Bong Go. His office is the one who conducted the program together with DSWD and because of Mayor Albee Benitez, he was able to distribute here in Bacolod.

Senator Bong Go’s office had a raffle for five shoes, two tablets and three bikes.
Mayor Albee Benitez left a message to the residents to properly utilize what they have so they can sustain their daily needs. Remind them that the money they have is all they have and nothing else has.
