January 24, 2024 – In line with their 𝗣𝗔yapa at 𝗠𝗔saganang Pamaya𝗡𝗔n (PAMANA) program, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) gave a total of 900,000 pesos at the City Mayor’s Office, Bacolod City Government Center.
Three associations, specifically, Barangay Banago Divers Association (BBDA), Granada Drivers Association, and the Felisa Rural Enterprise were given checks with an amount of 300,000 pesos each.
On behalf Mayor Albee Benitez, City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea and Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, headed the disribution with DSSD Head Alma Gustilo, SLP Capability Building Officer Teresita Lopez, PDO II Geljane Premacio, Kathleen Joy Toreses, Janine Bryshell Gumban, and Jullane Ann Llanes.
The PAMANA program is a government-initiated program with the DSWD tasked in handling its implementation through the provision of socio-economic projects to disadvantaged, conflict-affected, and vulnerable areas. Furthermore, the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) also gave out a cheque amounting to 250,000 for the Kalipay Foundation for the continued growth and development of their organization.
