September 7, 2023 – With the theme, “E-powering PESOs and JPOs of Western Visayas,” the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the PESO Managers Association of the Philippines – Western Visayas (PESOMAP – WV) conducted the 6th Regional PESO and JPO Congress to recognize and award the outstanding performances in regards to employment of the different LGUs all around Western Visayas at the Province of Capiz.

Due to its exceptional achievements, the city bagged multiple awards such as a Plaque of Recognition for being recognized as the Provincial Grand Winner on the Search for Best PESO 2023 and was also given a Certificate of Recognition for sponsoring the DOLE-initiated Program – PEIS Training and Workshop. The city was proudly represented by PESO – Bacolod Head Jovelyn Canoy.

The mentioned achievements were known to be the very first in the history of Bacolod under Mayor Albee Benitez’s administration and considered to be a milestone signifying the commitment and diligence of the city officials to provide a quality service to which Bacolodnons could be proud of and greatly appreciate.
