March 31, 2023 – To culminate the National Women’s Month 2023, the City Government of Bacolod conducted the “Zumba Bayi” (Bayi, Hiligaynon term for Woman) at the Bacolod City Government Center Fountain Area.

With this year’s theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” which stands for Women and Everyone emphasizing the role of women themselves and everyone in the pursuit of gender equality,this celebration marks the new era of the National Women’s Month Celebration with the hope and ambition that WE are all for Gender Equality, WE are all for an inclusive society.

This is an initiative of Councilor Celia Matea Flor, Gender and Development Technical Working Group (GAD-TWG) Chairperson, also in support of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and through the efforts of GAD-TWG.
