The World Bank revisited Bacolod City to continue the development and discuss specifics for its technical assistance support for the city’s housing program, April 24, at MassKara Hall, BCGC Ground.

Mayor Albee Benitez held a discussion with Senior Housing Specialist of The World Bank East Asia & Pacific Dao Harrison and Bernice Soriano with reviewing the current housing programs of the city and assessing a sustainable and resilient strategy and roadmap to meet affordable housing.

They have also corroborated on incorporating climate-resilient and green retrofitting and construction methods in the roadmap, as part of the technical assistance support to the city.

Moreover, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Department (DHSUD) has also requested support to assess the feasibility and related risk of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Project using “live” projects being planned for the PH program and to provide recommendations as to how the 4PH project can fulfill its target most effectively.

All of which concluded to create a green and resilient development inclusive for Bacolod City.
