April 6, 2025 – As part of the first-ever Pet Festival in Bacolod City, the City Veterinary Office hosted an engaging Pet Agility Training and Handling session with Trainer Spy Dekeling of InSPYred, held at Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

The session focused on the value of dog obedience training, which plays a vital role not just in ensuring a dog’s safety, but also in building their confidence and social behavior.

According to Trainer Spy Dekeling:

“Gina tudluan ta ang aton nga dogs sang dog obedience not only for safety, but the important thing is ang confidence sang inyo nga dogs. Kay kun indi sila confident and they are insecure, ang dogs become reactive and anti-social.”

She emphasized that confident dogs are more balanced, less fearful, and more likely to interact positively with people and other pets.

The event was a fun and informative part of the Pet Festival, and it is the City Veterinary Office’s initiative to promote responsible pet ownership and support the growing pet community in Bacolod.
