June 6, 2024 – In partnership with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth Philippines (UN SDSN Youth PH) and the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), the Bacolod City Youth Development Office (BCYDO) spearheaded the launching of the program entitled, “#Amplify: Raising the Youth Voice on Human Rights”, today at the Sacchari Hall, Acacia Hotel, Bacolod City.
Among those present are Vice-Mayor El Cid Familiaran, UN SDSN Senior Program Associate Renko Gaudiel, and Bacolod City Local Youth Development Officer Carlo S. Descutido.
The mentioned program is specifically designed and aimed towards the youth, giving them a voice and raising awareness on the significance of human rights in achieving sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda. Additionally, it has the aim to fully equip the youth with the skills needed to further highlight and advance the concept of human rights in their advocacies.
Finally, with around 50 youth leaders participating in the event, the gathering provided a venue where they can conduct meaningful discussions regarding human rights issues.
