Zero casualty reported by the Tropical Storm “Paeng”, which is now located over the West Philippine Sea with current movement 30km/h at west-northwest direction as of 8:00 a.m today, October 30 based on the memorandum issued by Bacolod City DRRM Office.
Below is the Situation Report No. 7 regarding Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng.”
No casualties on affected barangays: 1, 2, 16, 14, 31, 36, Banago, Pahanocoy, Punta Taytay, Singcang-airport, Sum-ag, Taculing, and Tangub.
Fifteen evacuation centers have opened and catered 2,026 rescued families and individuals from the affected barangays.
The LGU, together with Bacolod City DRRMO and barangay DRRM committee and all other concerned agencies, are on standby and in preparation since October 26, 2022 for any flooding or incidents, thus the Flood Control Team Operations have continued on de-clogging and desilting of drainages and provided transportation services to strandees and IDPs during the evacuation of the affected barangays.
Moreover, the Bacolod City Police provided peace and order site security to all identified evacuation areas.
A total of 774 food packs and donations from DSSD, DRRMO, and Neg. Occ. Filipino Chinese Amity Club have been given out and 52 port strandees were safely transported bound to Iloilo due to the resumption of Sea Travel by CGS-Northern Negros Occidental.
