In celebration of the National Women’s Month 2023, the Gender and Development (GAD) Council conducted its GAD Agenda Training at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City.

Today marks the first day of the 2-Day training dated March 22-23, 2023.

GAD Council tackled the purpose and functions of GAD in each offices, also a group presentation about the strength, opportunities, and issues with regards to the implementation of the said programs.

This activity aims to guide the GAD Focal Point System of the City of Bacolod in developing its GAD Agenda to achieve gender equality and women empowerment.

This initiative was spareheaded by the Office of Councilor Celia Matea Flor, GAD Chairperson and participated by; Urban Basic Services Division, City Health Office, City Population Office, Public Information Office, City Engineering, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Bacolod Housing Authority, Department of Social Services and Development, Office of Senior Citizen Association, Persons with Disability Office, City Anti-Mendicancy Task Force, Bacolod City Police Office – Women and Children Protection Desk Office, Department of Education, Balay Silangan, City Planning and Development Office, City Budget Office, Management Information Technology and Computer Services, City Civil Registrar, Human Resource Management Services Office, Bacolod City General Employees Union, Sectoral Office, Public Employment Services Office and City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office.
