June 4, 2024- The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines celebrated their 67th Charter Anniversary Symposium at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City with the theme “Rural Banks: Growing Together and Stronger to a Digital and Sustainable Future.”
The event commenced with welcome remarks from Mayor Albee Benitez. He expressed gratitude to the association for selecting Bacolod as the venue for the symposium. “I’d like to thank the association for choosing Bacolod. I hear this is the first time that we have the event here in Bacolod City. You have not made a better choice. For those who are here, you are very lucky. I’m sure you are enjoying the warm hospitality of Bacolodnons, the City of Smiles, and most of all, the food. We are proud to say that one of the biggest attractions of Bacolod City is the food, particularly our famous chicken inasal… so, thank you for choosing Bacolod and enjoy your stay,” he said.
The keynote address was delivered by Hon. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Deputy Governor of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The symposium featured several presentations, including:

The event includes a fellowship night at Nature’s Village Resort later and will continue tomorrow their symposium, June 4, at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
