Mayor Albee Benitez, alongside Councilor Pao Sy, and the Bacolod City Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Coordinating Board convened for their first meeting in a year 2024. The gathering focused on crucial aspects such as the briefing of the CBMS Coordinating Board functions, CBMS Barangay and Household Profiles, along with addressing various challenges.
Issues discussed during the meeting included concerns about CBMS personnel, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Transportation. The Board provided valuable suggestions and recommendations to tackle these challenges effectively.
For CBMS personnel, the recommendation emphasized the importance of proper hiring processes, ensuring enumerators possess the necessary qualifications. Additionally, the Board advocated allocating a budget specifically for CBMS ICT supplies and equipment to enhance data collection and analysis capabilities.
Transportation issues were also on the agenda, prompting a recommendation to establish a dedicated transportation service for CBMS activities, aiming to improve fieldwork for data gathering by the enumerators.
