September 11, 2023- In a recent presentation Professor Sheila Christine Ledesma, introduced Bacolod City College’s key figures to the transformative potential of Canvas LMS and Senior Solutions Engineer Colt Kwong demonstrated how Canvas can benefit both students and teachers.

The esteemed audience included Mayor Albee Benitez, Congressman Kiko Benitez, Dr. Mae Llamas, and BCC Administrator Dr. Johanna Bayoneta.

Canvas LMS, a fully SaaS learning environment, promises to revolutionize the way education is delivered at BCC. It seamlessly fosters interaction and forges strong bonds between educators and students, whether in traditional classrooms, blended settings, or entirely virtual environments.

The goal is to raise the bar for student success, harness the full potential of teaching, and ignite a passion for collective learning.

Mayor Albee Benitez has a clear vision and there is a possibility that Canvas LMS will become an integral part of BCC’s educational landscape. If the collaboration/partnership comes to fruition, it is expected to launch in the upcoming academic year 2024-2025.

The journey ahead involves meticulous planning to meet the necessary requirements for the platform and to equip both students and educators with the skills needed to thrive in this innovative learning ecosystem.
