September 8, 2022 – Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) gave P50,000 cash grant to four Bacolodnon beneficiaries of their Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program.
Two regional representatives from DSWD, Ms. Micah Villanueva, Social Welfare Officer III focal for Balik Probinsya, Balik Pag-asa Program and Ms. Geljane Premacio, Project Development Representative II of Sustainable Livelihood Program with the support Department of Social Services Development – Bacolod (DSSD) gave the cash grant to the beneficiaries.
Lilith Anobang, 47, Henry Tomaquin, 71, Lane Edoque, 41, and Angel Bert Tugaff, 37 all came from Manila.
They approached and sought help from the DSWD – National to assist them in returning to the city.
Through the Sustainable Livelihood and Transitory Family Support Programs of the department, the four beneficiaries were able to go back and start anew in the city.
They are eligible for the cash grant of DSWD because they were all bonafide residents of Bacolod.
The said program aims to provide financial and livelihood support to all eligible Filipinos who belong to the marginalized, disadvantaged, and vulnerable sectors.
