March 6, 2024 – A number of 39 delegates from the San Fernando, Romblon LGU came to Bacolod on March 4 and spent their last day in visiting the Bacolod City Government Center today, specifically gathering at the BCGC Lobby and the Office of the City Mayor.

The program was opened by the welcoming messages of the Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, Councilors Jason Villarosa, Ising Salanga, Cindy Rojas, Pao Sy, and Simple Distrito, respectively. Key figures were also present such as San Fernando, Romblon Mayor Nanette Tansingco, Former San Fernando Mayor Salem Tansingco, and Vice-Mayor Domingo Marin.

During the event, various city projects under the Benitez administration were shared with the esteemed guests such as the Yuhum Housing Project, Bacolod Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP), Bacolod Express Services Office (BESO), and the presentation of the Gender and Development Council led by the Office of Councilor Celia Flor.

Additionally, Mayor Nanette Tansingco expressed her gratitude in her speech and emphasized the hospitality shown by the Bacolodnons during her stay in the city. Afterwards, the Masskara Dancers from Brgy. Granada entertained the delegates.

Finally, a token of appreciation was given by the City Councilors present to the guests in the form of a mini colorful Masskara doll. In return, the delegates also gave their very own product made of Rattan.
