Bacolod City, May 14, 2024- In a bid to enhance public transportation and promote eco-friendly travel options, the City of Bacolod, with the initiative of Mayor Albee Benitez, will launch a green route dry run featuring electric jeeps (Ejeeps) starting tomorrow, May 15 until May 19, 2024.
The dry run will cover the Brgy. Vista Alegre route, offering residents a “Libre Sakay” (free ride) experience from 7am to 6pm. This initiative aims to address the transportation needs of residents in areas not yet included in the Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP).
Mayor Albee Benitez’s green route project is designed to improve connectivity and provide sustainable transportation solutions. The introduction of Ejeeps on this new route reflects the city’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while ensuring that residents have access to reliable and efficient public transport.
