February 7, 2024 – As a token of gratitude and recognition for the significant contributions of Bacolodnon street cleaners to the cleanliness of Bacolod’s streets, the Rotary Club of Metro Bacolod, in collaboration with the City Health Office, Riverside Health Center, and Rotarian volunteers from Australia, spearheaded a medical mission today at the Liga ng mga Barangay office along San Juan Street.

The event included free medical consultations, complimentary medicines, and screenings encompassing eye and dental check-ups, benefitting approximately 220 beneficiaries. The city aims to make these activities a regular occurrence and plans to extend to other frontline workers in the waste management sector, such as garbage collectors. All services provided are entirely free of charge, and snacks were also provided during the event.
