A first meeting was conducted today on the Executive Order No. 34, An Executive Order Reconvening the Bacolod Anti-Smoking Task Force (BASTF) at the Bacolod City Government Center, Masskara Hall.

Presided by the Secretary to the Mayor, Atty. Karol Joseph Chiu as representative of BASTF Chairperson Mayor Albee Benitez, Vice-Chairperson of BASTF, Councilor Simplicia Distrito and attended by Task Force members and representatives.

Tackled in the meeting were the City Mayor’s policy direction on the Anti-Smoking Campaign that every ordinance must be implemented for a better Bacolod.

Reports and accomplishments of the Action Team conducting operations during the first month of the year in Schools, Public Markets, Malls and Commercial Strip, Hospital, Public Utility Jeepneys, Bus Terminals, Parks and Recreational Place were also highlighted in the meeting.

Thus the assignment of the Task Force Members, and Plans of Operations of BASTF will be taken up in the next session.
