The Philippine Employment and Services Office (PESO) Bacolod joined the career guidance week of Brgy. Singcang Airport National High School (BSANHS) on Tuesday, May 2.
More than 270 of grade 12 students participated in the career talk, spearheaded by BSANHS School Principal Maricon Rosareal, followed by a job coaching activity of PESO Bacolod.
“In BSANHS, 11 percent are expected to work after graduation,” PESO Manager Jovelyn Canoy shared. Hence, employment initiative from school and the city is important to assure they land a job.
A talk and open forum from industry professionals occured. Subsequently, writing cover letter and resume, proper attire and grooming for job application and crucial soft skills were also taught during the event.
Invited guests were Bacolod City National High School Guidance Counselor Charlotte Chavez Badrina, BSANHS MT 1 Gadiel Gabilagon, Police Staff Sergeant Warren Clomata, and Panasiatic Recruitment & Resourcing Manager Alain Pillar.
Mayor Albee Benitez affirmed his strong commitment for employment of every Bacolodnon with his programs and year-long job fairs through PESO Bacolod.
Senior High students and other job-seeking individuals are invited to a job hiring at SM City Bacolod on May 5 and 6 with 7000+ job openings to apply to.
