The Public Employment Services and Employment (PESO), together with the City Mayor’s Office (CMO), Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) and PESO scholars initiated the Pamaskwa sa Kabataan at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds today, December 20, 2022.

This initiative was participated by 500 solo parents together with their children who were chosen by the DSSD.

The leading offices distributed food packs, held a magic show and games to entertain the families.

“We want to uplift and enliven the spirit of giving and sharing this Christmas season that is why we are holding this event”, Peso Department Head Jovelyn Canoy said.

Aside from this initiative PESO is now preparing and planning job fairs in each barangay, career orientations and other programs to target the upliftment of the out of school youth for the next administrative years.
