OCTOBER 5, 2023–CSAV, UST and Verayo’s Grill dominate their pools in the Men’s Open of the 1st Mayor Albee Benitez Beach Volleyball tournament while City Designs-Bacolod lead with 2 wins followed by NU and Smash-Negros with 1 win apiece,to lead in the Women’s Open of the same tournament.

The 1st Mayor Albee Benitez Beach Volleyball Tournament for MassKara 2023 is the first tournament in the city that has gathered the top teams in the region and in the country. Fresh from the Asian Games, Philippine Beach Volleyball Team Members Ran-Ran Abdilla, James Buytrago and Gen Eslapor suit up for Teams Verayo Grill, NU and UST.

The National Team Coach for Beach Volleyball, Brazilan Coach Joao Barbosa, together with Team Manager Mayi Prochina, also graced the occasion.

The tournament continues tomorrow at 7 am with a match in the women’s category, NU vs UP followed by VMA and DLSU 3 at the Bacolod Baywalk Recreational Park.
