Mayor Albee Benitez was one of the witnesses as PrimeWater Bacolod, in partnership with Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA), signed a bulk water supply agreement with Bacolod Bulk Water Inc. (BBWI) to enhance the water supply in Bacolod City.
This agreement, focused on Injection Point 2, aims to meet the city’s current demand by providing an additional 10,000 cubic meters or 10 million liters per day (MLD) in the first year, with a gradual increase up to 25 MLD by the fifth year.
According to the latest release from BACIWA-PrimeWater, the agreement is expected to be fully implemented within the year. This initiative will improve water supply to around 10,000 households in the southern areas of Bacolod, including Barangays Mansilingan, Handumanan, Felisa, Alijis, Tangub, Taculing, Pahanocoy, Sum-ag, and Singcang Airport.
The City of Bacolod remains committed to addressing the needs of its residents, especially regarding water supply. Through this initiative, the city aims to enhance water services and provide sustainable solutions for all consumers.
