Mayor Albee is intensifying efforts to enhance healthcare services in Bacolod. During a meeting with the City Health Office, led by City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Carmela Gensoli, the Mayor emphasized his commitment and initiatives aimed at bringing positive changes to the city’s healthcare offerings.
As BacCHP continues its dedicated service to the people of Bacolod, the Mayor drew attention to current and future endeavors in constructing and upgrading healthcare facilities throughout Bacolod. This includes the development of Primary Health Care Facilities in Vista Alegre (East), BREDCO (West), and Cabug (South), as well as the enhancement of an Infirmary in Alijis, set for conversion into a Level 1 Hospital.
The City Health Office offers a wide range of services to the public, including Medical Consultation, Immunization, Animal Bite and Treatment Center, Prenatal, Dental, Reproductive Health and Wellness, Clinical Laboratory and Drug Testing, Radiology, Infectious Diseases Services, Health and Sanitation, Issuance of Health and Medical Certificates, and Mobile Health Services, among others.
An assessment of the current healthcare infrastructure reveals the presence of 30 Barangay health stations, along with the Lying In and Birthing Center situated at the City Health Compound, and the Bacolod Mental Health Center located in Purok Paglaum, Barangay Mansilingan.
