February 25, 2025- The National Arts Month 2025 celebration continued today with the theme “Ani ng Sining: Diwa at Damdamin (Paghugpong sang Bacolod pinaagi sa Taliambog),” highlighting the rich talents and skills of local artists. Organized by the Bacolod City Tourism Office, the event showcases various artistic expressions that honor tradition while embracing innovation.

One of the day’s highlights was a successful workshop led by Ms. Vida Hayes, titled “Slow Fashion through Hablon Weaving: Preserving Tradition, Embracing Sustainability.” The session showcased the artistry of traditional textile craftsmanship while promoting sustainable fashion. Meanwhile, Ms. Doreen Dofitas explored the evolution of Filipino fashion in her presentation, “From Traditional Filipiniana to Modern Trends.”

The event was attended by city employees and students, fostering a deeper appreciation for local arts and culture.

The celebration will continue until February 28, featuring more exhibitions, performances, and interactive activities that encourage community engagement and appreciation for the vibrant world of art.
