The Department of Agrarian Reform with their Linking Smallholder Farmers to Market with Microfinance (LINKSFARMM) program held a Refresher Course: Eight ( 8 ) Step Clustering Approach of the Agro-Enterprise Development.
It’s a 3-day event held at O’Hotel Bacolod from March 1-3, 2023 with Senior Agrarian Reform Prog. Officer, LINKSFARMM Provincial Focal Person – Mary Jean P. Obeso, Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer- Rizalina V. Yuguing, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer I (PARPO) -Edna Villaruel leading the discussion of the refresher course.
Participants of the course are farmers from the Municipalty of La Castellana, Pontevedra, Cauayan, and Kabankalan City.
On their second day today, Bacolod City Administrator, Atty. Pacifico Maghari III visited and echoed a special message from Hon. Mayor Albee Benitez for the farmers, stressing the importance of creating connections directly with them as the producers of crops to lower food cost.
This refresher course aims to help farmers from different municipalities and cities around Negros Occidental to study the market chain, market trends, and hold an actual market survey of the Libertad market.
