January 21, 2023–Victorias City Mayor Javi Benitez represented his father Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez during the Chinese New Year’s eve Dharma Prayers at the Yuan Thong Temple in Bacolod City.

Together with his girlfriend, actress Sue Ramirez, Councilors Al Espino, Jason Villarosa and Pau Sy, they joined the Chinese community in prayers for the city and the traditional ringing of bell.
