In a coordination meeting with local businesses, the City of Bacolod is all set to kick-off the first Car-Free day every Sunday for the whole month of June.

Engr. Mae Cuaycong, Special Assistant to the Mayor, led the meeting and lobbied the purpose of the activity. It brings together health enthusiasts and families to a venue for walking, running, and biking.

From 5AM to 9AM, Lacson St. from South Capitol Road to Ramos Area will be closed to pave way for the Car-Free Sunday. Some business establishments will open to serve breakfasts and coffee for interested public.

This is an initiative of the City through Mayor Albee Benitez to allow Bacolodnons to have a recreational space for their activities in improving health and well-being.
