March 20, 2024 – With the theme, “Think and Drive, Be Alive: Alert, Law Abiding, Involved, Value Oriented, Educated”, the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO), together with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Grab, organized a road safety training and lecture to impart knowledge on road and traffic rules today at the BTAO Office, Bazket Compound.
BTAO Traffic Head Patrick Lacson and RD Eric Lenard Tabaldo opened the program, together with knowledgeable speakers. John Christian Pestano shared about the 5 Pillars of Road Safety, Bernard Bacay on the Mandates of the Land Transportation Office, Road and Traffic Rules, Defensive Training, and Memorandum Circulars by Ryan John Apalachio, and Jose Antonio Robello on How to Act in Road Crash Incidents.
The training is a two-day event that started on March 20 with March 21 as the last day. A number of 150 participants from various organizations joined such as the Rouser Club of the Philippines, Foodpanda, Ocsiphils, Polymer, CEB hauling, Grabfood, South tours, Spot on Log, AC5, and Shopee Xpress with the eagerness to apply what they have learned after a full-day training. Finally, the event ended with remembering road crash victims.
