
February 5, 2025 – The City of Bacolod’s City Development Council (CDC) conducted a meeting to discuss numerous agendas essential for the city’s continuous progress today at the Seda Hotel, Bacolod City.
Present were Mayor and CDC Chairperson Albee Benitez, Councilors Thaddy Sayson Cindy Rojas, and Lady Gles Pallen, City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) Head and CDC Secretariat Mary Jean Ramos, City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, Secretary to the Mayor Atty. Marty Go, along with department heads and punong barangays.
Key agenda were discussed and addressed during the meeting such as the Tourism Development Plan 2024-2028 presented by City Tourism Head Teresa Manalili, followed by City Engineer’s Office Head Engr. Loben Ceballos sharing of updates on the construction of the MassKara Coliseum project that is currently at 70% progress.
Annual Investment Programs (AIP) for the year 2025 was also addressed, with City Veterinary Office project updates coming in next, presented by Assistant City Vet Dr. John Michael Cabuguason, which consists of the Mass Rabies Vaccination, Animal Birth Control, and the planned establishment of a Bacolod City Dog Shelter, among many others.
Lastly, the meeting concluded with the awarding of the Clean and Green Program Barangay Awardees.

3. Adiangawan Small Farmers Association – 3rd Place (78.00%), received Php 50,000 cash prize

1. Brgy. Montevista – 1st Place (91.67%), received Php 350,000 cash prize
2. Brgy. Cabug – 2nd Place (90.25%), received Php 250,000 cash prize
3. Brgy. Taculing – 3rd Place (88.50%), received Php 200,000 cash prize
4. Brgy. Singcang-Airport – 4th Place (88.25%), received Php 150,000 cash prize
5. Brgy. Felisa – 5th Place (87.75%), received Php 100,000 cash prize
Followed by Barangays Villamonte, Mansilingan, Estefania, Pahanocoy, Handumanan, Tangub, Mandalagan, Alangilan, Granada, Punta Taytay, respectively, each receiving Php 20,000 cash prize.
Urban Numbered Barangays:
1. Brgy. 17 – 1st Place (84%), received Php 300,000 cash prize
2. Brgy. 18 – 2nd Place (82.67%), received Php 200,000 cash prize
3. Brgy. 5 – 3rd Place (82.33%), received Php 150,000 cash prize
4. Brgy. 36 – 4th Place (81.50%), received Php 100,000 cash prize
5. Brgy. 23 – 5th Place (81.33%), received Php 50,000 cash prize
