February 26, 2025 – With the aim to position Bacolod as a UNESCO Creative City of Film, the city’s Department of Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions (D-LEDIP) begins its Bacolod Youth Workshop and Filmmaking Bootcamp entitled, “Stories with a Smile: A Creative Bacolod Youth Workshop and Filmmaking Bootcamp” with a welcome dinner for Manila-based guests and participants last February 25 at L’Fisher Chalet.

Present during the event were Councilor and Chairperson of the Committee on History, Culture, and Arts Em Ang and D-LEDIP Head Dr. Mae Llamas, together with a number of 75 participants from various schools in NCR and 100 local young filmmakers and creatives.

The three-day workshop and bootcamp will officially launch today, February 26, at the Negros Residences until February 28 and will feature various activities and discussions covering fields in Cinematography, Film Editing, Basic Acting, and Directing, among many others.
