The City of Bacolod supports the National Children’s Month 2022 with its official theme, “Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!”.
Children’s mental health will be the focus of this year’s celebration and is aligned with the statement of the World Health Organization (WHO) that health, in general, is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
By virtue of Republic Act 10661, the National Children’s Month (NCM) in the Philippines commemorates the adoption of the UN Convention of the Rights of Children on November 20, 1989, and is annually celebrated every November.
Emphasizing mental health as a crucial and important part of overall health while framing well-being as a source of inspiration, it aims to make a lasting impression on Filipinos.
