
February 22, 2025 – Bacolod City, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and with the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Food Authority (NFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), officially launches the Bacolod Sunday Market and Kadiwa ng Pangulo today.
With the city’s support, the Bacolod City Integrated Small Farmers and its 16 associations are showcasing fresh vegetables, crops, seafood, delicacies, and homemade products. BaCHPP is also on-site, offering free medicines to visitors, farmers, and fisherfolk.
This initiative aims to boost local agriculture by providing a dedicated marketplace for farmers and fishers while promoting a healthier lifestyle for Bacolodnons. It also encourages the community to support local farmers and producers. Councilors Al Espino, Em Ang and Dana Barzo attended the event.
