September 20, 2023- With the support for the vibrant celebration of the Masskara Festival, Mayor Albee Benitez, along with the City of Bacolod and the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation, released subsidies for the highly anticipated Arena Street Dance and Electric Competition at the City Mayor’s Office.

On behalf of Mayor Albee Benitez, Engr. Mae Cuaycong presided over the event. Also in attendance were Atty. Pacifico Maghari III and representatives from the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation.

For the Streetdance Competition, the City of Bacolod is granting a sum of Php 700,000.00 pesos to boost the enthusiasm of the participating communities.

Additionally, the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation is offering a Php 50,000.00 pesos in cash to support the Masskara dancers in various barangays such as Cabug, Mansilingan, 34, Sum-ag, Tangub, 21, Vista Alegre, 40, Handumanan, and Granada.

For the Electric Competition, the City’ gave a subsidy of Php 300,000.00 pesos. This financial backing will energize the performances of talented groups hailing from barangays including Singcang, 12, 32, 25, 17, 18, 14, 24, 5, 19, and Bata.

The release of these subsidies emphasizes the commitment of Mayor Albee Benitez, the City of Bacolod, and the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation to ensure a spectacular Masskara Festival, filled with thrilling street dances and electrifying performances. It’s a celebration that promises to be truly memorable for all Bacolodnons and visitors alike.
