August 29,2023— In a proactive move to ensure the well-being of affected families in the wake of Typhoon Goring, Mayor Albee Benitez spearheaded a comprehensive discussion with city government departments heads.
The heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Goring lashed into the city yesterday forcing almost 10,000 Bacolodnons to evacuate from their homes.
With the aim of catering to all affected families and individuals, Mayor Benitez emphasized the importance of leaving no stone unturned in the the city’s relief efforts.
Mayor Benitez initiated the plans to create a more streamlined and efficient process of providing adequate and timely relief to affected Bacolodnon families and individuals if and when disaster strikes.
The Mayor believes that through collaboration and a strong sense of community, the city of Bacolod will rise above any challenges that may come its way.
