July 17, 2023 – As part of the 49th Nutrition Month celebration with the theme, “Healthy Diet gawing affordable FOR ALL”, the Bacolod City Nutrition Council (BCNC) spearheaded the seminar focused on Urban Gardening to support the provision of a healthy diet for everyone in the entire nation today at the Bacolod City Government Center Lobby.

Graced by City Nutrition Action Officer and Medical Officer IV Dr. Rosalie G. Deocampo, Nutritionist Dietician III Myrrah Lei G. Unson, City Agriculturist Atty. Goldwyn V. Nifras, and the City Agriculture Office staffs.

The seminar featured various topics such as the Implementation of Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) and the Introduction to vegetable Production among others.

The month-long celebration initiated numerous activities all around the country with the Department of Agriculture serving as the driving force on how to initiate and sustain the various initiatives geared towards a healthy diet and to make it affordable for all.

The seminar ended with a giving of a certificate of appreciation to the guest speakers and certificates of attendance to the attendees followed by a distribution of vegetable and fruit-bearing seeds.
