July 24, 2024 – Today, the City Engineer’s Office, City Health Office, and Home World Construction held a blessing and groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the soon-to-rise new Bacolod City Health Complex located in Brgy 20. This priority project by Mayor Albee Benitez is part of his vision to provide better health care services to Bacolod City.
The complex will cover 4,683 square meters and feature two 4-storey buildings. Building 1 will have a floor area of 1,600 square meters, while Building 2 will cover 3,073 square meters.
The project is estimated to cost 219 million pesos.
OIC CHO Head Dr. Grace Tan opened the event, expressing pride in the improvements to come. Mayor Albee Benitez emphasized the importance of health services, noting the new facility’s expanded capacity and additional services.
Attendees included Congressman Greg Gasataya, Bacolod City Councilors, DOH Western Visayas representatives, City Health Office staff, Homeworld owner Mr. Charles Dumancas and his wife Ginnette Yanson-Dumancas, City Engineer Office staff, DRRMO Bacolod, department heads, and barangay officials. Vicar General of the Diocese of Bacolod, Monsignor Ronald Quijano, blessed the ceremony and the land where the complex will stand.
