April 15, 2024 – With the theme, “Living the Promise”, the Province of Negros Occidental officially opens the 28th Panaad sa Negros Festival this year at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The event was led by Provincial Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson, Provincial Vice-Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, and Provincial Administrator Reyfrando Diaz with prominent political figures coming from the 32 local government units (LGUs) all over Negros Occidental including Mayor Albee Benitez, together with Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, City Tourism Officer Tere Quebrar-Manalili, LEDIPO Head Dr. Mae Llamas, and DRRMO Head Dr. Anna Maria Pornan.

The event featured various activities such as the introduction of the each LGU’s respective elected mayors and tourism officers and the presentation of this year’s Lin-Ay sang Negros 2024. Additionally, in his opening speech, Gov. Bong Lacson emphasized to the attendees that despite coming from different cities and municipalities, we should all come together and celebrate this year’s Panaad festival as one united province. Finally, the festivities started on the 15th and will end on the 21st of April.
