February 28, 2024 – Members coming from different governmental sectors of the City Nutrition Committee (CNC) gathered for their 1st quarter meeting today at the Masskara Hall 3, Bacolod City Government Center.

Various sectors present during the meeting were the Office of the Vice-Chairman of the City Nutrition Committee and Councilor Kalaw Puentevella, City Health Office, Urban Basic Services Division, City Department of Health Office, City Agriculture, Public Employment Service Office, DILG, DRRMO, DSSD, Sangguniang Panlungsod, City Engineer’s Office, City Cooperative Livelihood and Development Office, SK Federation, BENRO, CPO, Liga ng mga Barangay, DepEd, and the Public Information Office.

The meeting covered numerous agendas such as the 2023 Nutrition Situation, the 2023 Accomplishments Presentation, the updating of the LNAP 2023-2025, the Nutrition Schedule 2024, the updating of the CNC membership, and its upcoming plans of the construction of the nutrition center, the procurement of the mobile relief truck, and the 50th year celebration of the nutrition month.

Additionally, the meeting provided the opportunity for the City Nutrition Committee to share their accomplishments such as the Dietary Supplementation Program, the distribution of the digital weighing scale to day care workers, and being the recipient of the Green Banner Seal of Compliance which recognizes the outstanding efforts and application of the nutrition programs of an LGU.
