November 4, 2024 – To enhance the efficiency of the Spaghetti Wires operation in Bacolod City, members of Task Force Spaghetti Wires convened today at the Mayor’s Office, Bacolod City Government Center.
The meeting, led by Mayor Albee Benitez, included Councilor and Public Works Chairperson Pao Sy, Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, and Atty. Marty Go. Representatives from key government offices and telecommunications companies, including the City Engineer’s Office, BTAO, NEPC, Globe, Sky Cable, Converge, PLDT, Fiber Home, and DITO, were also present.
Attendees discussed various suggestions, such as implementing a four-day workweek for downtown operations. It was also announced that the spaghetti wires clearing operation will resume on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
In addition, a public consultation on the city’s underground cabling road map will be held this November, with a detailed presentation involving the telcos.
