October 18, 2023–The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, formed in 1973, is an illustrious ensemble that has become a testament to the country’s unwavering dedication to the arts and its pursuit of musical excellence.
Last night, the PPO extended its concert hall for music-loving Bacolodnons in SM City Bacolod as it serenaded the Bacolod audience by performing timeless symphonies and contemporary Filipino compositions. This balance between tradition and innovation is a testament to the orchestra’s adaptability and cultural significance.
As part of the MassKara Festival, Joji Dingcong, Festival Director, warmly welcomed everyone on behalf of Mayor Albee Benitez and introduced CCP President Maria Margarita “Margie” Moran-Floirendo, who was happy to share their mission of bringing CCP to the countryside for their kababayans to experience their brand of show and program.
The orchestra continues to inspire and uplift spirits, serving as a beacon of hope during challenging times. Their resilience and unwavering commitment to their art are a testament to the enduring spirit of the Filipino people.
