The National Flag Day was celebrated at Bacolod City Plaza, May 28.
Despite of a gloomy morning at the heart of the City of Bacolod, the Philippine Flag was honored in a solemn ceremony of raising the banner that represents the story of every Filipino.
The public witnessed the entrance of the flags accompanied by Barangay leaders headed by Punong Barangay Franz Hughanne Tionko of Barangay Mansilingan. The men-in-uniform was headed by Police Major Elmer Bonilla of Station 1.
The 10 versions of the Philippine flag were raised; from the time of the revolution to the present version. Hon. Franz Tionko highlighted the importance of the symbolism of the Philippine Flag as it brings honor, glory, and a legacy of our revolutionary heroes.
Present in the ceremony are different barangay and city officials, government employees, the DILG and BSP.
