July 29, 2024 – The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), together with McDonald’s Philippines, held its turnover ceremony of Bacolod’s and the Province of Negros Occidental’s first-ever Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit Learning Center today at Rosario Heights, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.

Key figures who attended the event were Vice-Mayor El Cid Familiaran, City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, Councilors Em Ang, Cindy Rojas, Jason Villarosa, Celia Flor, Brgy. Taculing Captain Lady Gles Pallen, Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, DSSD Head Alma Gustilo, and McDonald’s Philippines Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations and Impact and Vice President of RMHC Philippines Adi Hernandez, together with a number of 80 children with their parents which was entertained by the Ronald McDonald mascot.

Additionally, numerous activities were prepared during the event such as a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the learning center blessing, followed by a storytelling by Ronald Mcdonald for the participating kids.

Finally, highlighting McDonald’s and RMHC’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of children through education, the Bahay Bulilit Learning Center is ready to accommodate 80 preschool students aged 3-4 years old starting this academic year which is completely free of charge.
