Today, July 18, 2025, Mayor Greg Gasataya and the City Agriculture Office handed out fertilizer worth ₱253,361 to 112 farmer-beneficiaries under the Masagana Rice Program of DA‑Region 6.

An ini nga programa tuyo nga mag boost sang rice production, magpa siguro sang aton food security, kag maga uplift sang aton mga local farmers by turning every hectare of rice field into an opportunity.

“A city is only as strong as those who grow its food,” said Mayor Gasataya as he recognized farmers’ tireless dedication.

Councilors Jude Thaddeus Sayson, Homer Bais, and City Agriculture Office OIC Maricar Quiro joined the ceremonial distribution, benefiting farmers from Cabug, Felisa, Alangilan, Granada, Vista Alegre, Alijis, and Pahanocoy.
