A new transportation service system was introduced by Mayor Albee Benitez last Saturday, January 28, 2023 to the drivers of the Bacolod City Government and this initiative shall be known as Mayor Albee Bantug Benitez Cab or MABB Cab.
MABB Cab is a mobile app that is similar to any ride-hailing apps, wherein any government offices that need transportation service assistance can now efficiently book a ride to conduct their field work or services.
This initiative of Mayor Albee is also one way to monitor the condition of government vehicles and to ensure that all the drivers of the city government will function according to their duties, especially since there are offices in the government that need transportation assistance.
With this, a physical inventory of motor vehicles and heavy equipment was conducted on the same day to assess all serviceable vehicles of the city that the General Services Office (GSO) reported. Approximately 500 units were reported by the office, but only 378 units were physically present. Mayor Albee wants to find out the whereabouts of the remaining 122 vehicles to help with his MABB Cab initiative.
