August 31, 2023 – Mayor Albee Benitez generously provided Php 15,000 while The Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD) extended Php 10,000 financial aids to the 2 families who lost their homes to Typhoon Egay.

Leading the distribution were Mayor Albee Benitez, Russel Sodusta of DHSUD and Sally Abelarde, the Head of the Department of Social Services and Development. The assistance was given to Kint Firnan and Honeybee Bolibo, both residing in Brgy. Taculing.

Firnan’s house situation gained local media attention when it was swept away by the strong current of the Singcang River.
