Bacolod City, under the leadership of Mayor Albee Benitez, earned the distinction of being the only local government unit to be invited as part of the Philippine Delegation to the HIMSS Conference and Roadshow in Orlando Florida on March 11 to 15. HIMSS is a prestigious gathering of more than 35,000 passionate professionals across the global healthcare landscape.

Led by Head of Delegation, Councilor Em Ang, together with Investment Officer Frances Mae Llamas and DTI Regional Director Rachel Naciongayo Nufable, the Team successfully showcased its readiness to host investment and employment opportunities to support the the HIMS sub-sector. The City has the right formula and mix of good governance, policies & incentives, infrastructure development, qualified talent pool, and the nuances of a livable community making it a destination of choice for HIMSS service providers.

Dubbed as a tapestry of interaction, innovation and inspiration, the Team has successfully established linkages with prospective locators for the City as it positions itself as a HIMSS hub for the region.
