The Land Transportation Office (LTO) met with Mayor Albee Benitez to propose the LTO-LGU I.T. Interconnectivity at the City Mayor’s Office, Bacolod City Government Center.
Together with Mayor Albee Benitez were City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, Secretary to the Mayor Atty. Joseph Karol Chiu, LTO-VI OIC Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II, and MITCS Head Ramon De Los Reyes.
If the proposal will be approved, Bacolod City will be the first to have the LTO-LGU I.T. Interconnectivity in the whole of Western Visayas.
Additionally, the LTO asked that all traffic violation, whether local or national will be uploaded in their system and emphasized that the LTO-LGU I.T. Interconnectivity will do away with the issue of deputation and the confiscation of Driver’s License which is the usual cause of conflict in traffic violation cases.
Finally, the LTO has already submitted a MOA draft which will be referred and reviewed by the city’s legal team.
