May 17, 2024- Today, representatives from the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), Packetworx, and the Laura Vicuña Foundation paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Albee Benitez at the City Mayor’s Office.
The shared goal of the three organization is to drive local development through technology, education, and community empowerment, in collaboration with the LGU.
IBPAP discussed potential strategies to promote Bacolod on the global stage and emphasized the need for local government support in upskilling and reskilling talents. The Laura Vicuña Foundation highlighted their efforts to promote job opportunities for senior high school graduates who do not pursue college education and to provide accessible training through their center in Victorias City.
Packetworx presented their innovative, low-cost Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and their disaster management technology, LORAWAN, which can enhance the city’s disaster preparedness.
Mayor Benitez was impressed by these initiatives and assured his support for their projects.
