
May 20, 2025- Rockwell Land Corporation, in collaboration with the City Government of Bacolod, is set to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on June 9, 2025, for new emergency facilities to be built along Buri Road in Barangay Mandalagan, within the Rockwell development.
The project will rise on a 1,986-square-meter parcel of land donated by Rockwell Land to the City of Bacolod. The future facilities will include a Fire Substation, a Back-up Station, and a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Command Center, which will help strengthen the city’s emergency response and preparedness.
A coordination meeting was recently held in preparation for the event. Present were the Rockwell group and key officials from the city and agencies, including Engr. Loben Ceballos, Bacolod City Engineer; PCol. Joeresty Coronica, Bacolod City Police Office Director; Engr. Mae Cuaycong, Special Assistant to the Mayor; Ms. Carmela Gamboa, Bacolod Public Information Office Head and representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
This initiative demonstrates the strong cooperation between Rockwell Land and the local government in advancing public safety and infrastructure development for the people of Bacolod.
